Get Your Tickets for the 2nd Annual Chinatown Cocktail Showdown Now!

Enter the Year of the Snake with courage and a happy heart via the Lunar New Year inspired Chinatown Cocktail Showdown, on Friday, January 31st.

Presented by the Chinatown Foundation, the second iteration of this booze-forward event features eight of the Chinatown neighbourhood’s heavyweight cocktail-making establishments: Bagheera, Bao Bei, The Chickadee Room, Fiorino, The Keefer Bar, Kissa Tanto, Laowai, and Meo. For one-evening-only (from 5:30-8:30pm), they’ll be going head-to-head at the Chinatown Storytelling Centre in a friendly drink-making battle.

Two titles are on the line: the Popular Vote (your call) and the Judge’s Vote (up to the pros). As for your ticket? Priced auspiciously at $88 (+ fees) per person, it’s stacked; including eight next-level cocktails, snacks from Chinatown BBQ, DD Mau, and Juke Fried Chicken, and a chance to vibe out with other cocktail-lovers while wandering the Chinatown Storytelling Centre’s award-winning exhibit. Plus, all proceeds go to the Vancouver Chinatown Foundation — a group doing the “real work”, keeping Chinatown’s culture alive while building something better for the future.

Go solo, take a date, or roll deep with friends. Just don’t wait too long to make your game plan, since tickets (available here) are going fast! And, in the meantime, for a sense of what you’re in for, check out our phone-shot outtakes from last year’s event, which honestly, was a really damn good time.
