On Tuesday, July 29th, Chef Andrea Carlson — of Burdock & Co., Bar Gobo, and Harvest Community Foods — is heading to The Sharing Farm in Richmond for a five-course vegetarian long table dinner shaped by the micro-seasons and guided by the lunar cycle.
The evening begins at 6pm with a farm walk, giving guests a chance to prime themselves for the meal ahead by seeing the crops, talking about growing practices, and reflecting on why it matters to know where your food comes from. By 6:45pm, everyone will be seated and the first course will have landed, marking the start of a meal rooted in late July’s peak ingredients and Carlson’s signature style: thoughtful, restrained, and grounded in care.

The first female chef-owner in Canada to earn a Michelin star, Carlson is a long-time champion of food security and small-scale systems that nurture land, people and community, all at once. With a background in organic farming and decades of advocacy behind her, she’s known for writing menus that follow the rhythms of the moon and honour what’s available — not just seasonally, but relationally.
This dinner carries that same philosophy forward. Each course will be built around what the land offers, layered with intention but never overworked. Expect a quiet kind of elegance; one that listens more than it speaks. When Andrea Carlson steps into your field kitchen, you make time to sit down and pay attention.
Tickets for the July 29th long table dinner are $165 each, available here.
