“Better Plate Than Never” Photo Exhibition is Opening in Strathcona This Week

Photo via @arejayyyyy

For 10 years now, local entrepreneur, fountain-of-creativity and man-about-town, RJ Hunt (Yeehaw Projects, Studio A-Ok), has been capturing personalized licence plates from all over the place and sharing them on his IG feed (@arejayyyyy). Now, RJ is finally moving the project into a physical space to show off the best of his collection for the exhibition, Better Plate Than Never.

What started small, as a personal obsession shared with RJ’s pals on social media, has meanwhile captured the attention of many, and turned into something much, MUCH bigger. To date, over 100 people have sent him photos of plates, leading to RJ’s decision to move the online project into a gallery-style space. Better Plate Than Never is opening at B Suite Studio, in Strathcona, on Friday, November 8th. Stop by for the opening night reception, from 6-10pm – especially if you want to be sure to snag one of only 100 numbered Better Plate Than Never books! – or swing by the exhibit during regular hours over the weekend (November 9th and 10th, from 11am to 5pm). Just be sure to check it out. It’s gonna be solid. Find out more.
