Art Auction Now Underway at Access Gallery in Chinatown

Chinatown’s Access Gallery launched its annual fundraiser this week. Starting last night, art enthusiasts have been popping in to the E. Georgia Street space to check it out. From the gallery:

“Pivots and Spins celebrates recent shifts and changes at Access: a major gallery expansion and renovation and the welcoming of our new Director/Curator Katie Belcher”.

The show boasts works donated by over 50 local and international artists, each of which will be up for grabs at an auction this Saturday night (Nov. 18)) If you’ve been looking for the perfect piece of art to hang at home or at work, this could be a great opportunity to a score cool, original piece for a reasonable price AND snag a few karma points (your contribution helps Access to deliver quality programming to the community).

Admission is $25, and includes membership at Access Gallery for the calendar year. Absentee bids will be accepted until 5pm, on Saturday, November 18. To place an absentee bid or make another enquiry, email Director/Curator Katie Belcher at k.belcher [at] accessgallery.ca – but we really suggest you poke your head in to see the show!
