Celebration of Light | Event | Formerly known as the Benson & Hedges Symphony of Fire, the Celebration of Light is an annual, international fireworks competition held in English Bay. It’s become synonymous with hordes of binge-drinking, bridge and tunnel teens who were so starved of large-scale civic events growing up that they never learned how to properly behave themselves in public. Typically, the VPD have responded in a heavy handed manner by conducting unlawful spot searches.

Usage | “I’d love to watch the Celebration of Light with you but I’m just not a super huge fan of getting stabbed by 17-year-old wangsters.”
