Our friends at Growing Chefs are set to return in early Fall and tickets just went on sale this morning. Check it out:
Farms to Forks is back! On Sunday, October 2nd, 2016, for the 7th year in a row, we’re bringing together some of the city’s most prominent chefs and mixologists and the region’s best growers and producers for a fun night of local wine and beer pairings, cocktails, and tasting stations!
Celebrate the best of the season by wandering through the classroom kitchens at the Pacific Institute of Culinary Arts. Watch the chefs in action, try dishes from more than fifteen of the city’s best chefs, sip on delicious local B.C. wine, and bid on items in our silent auction. We hope to see you there!

If you’re unfamiliar with their mission, Growing Chefs is all about getting kids excited about good, healthy food. “In our Classroom Gardening and Cooking Program, chef volunteers are paired with elementary school classrooms (grades 1-3 for the primary program, 4-6 for the intermediate) to give students hands-on experience growing and cooking their own food.” It’s a fantastic program, and our city is better for it!
