Smoke Break #907: The First Official Trailer Of Peter Jackson’s Vision For “The Hobbit”

The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey isn’t due in theatres until December 2012, but director Peter Jackson just let slip the highly anticipated film’s first trailer. Returning from the Lord of the Rings trilogy are Ian McKellen (Gandalf), Andy Serkis (Gollum), Hugo Weaving (Elrond), Cate Blanchett (Galadriel), Christopher Lee (Saruman), Ian Holm (older Bilbo), Elijah Wood (Frodo) and Orlando Bloom (Legolas), not to mention all the Kiwi scenery, plus Weta Workshop and Weta Digital. The second film, dubbed The Hobbit: There and Back Again (enter Smaug), isn’t due until 2013. The little kid in us is definitely stoked.
