Tea & Two Slices: On Gay Bashing And The Case For Free Transit…

IMG_2950

by Sean Orr | Sex trade worker assaulted with pellet gun. Dear Surrey…maybe stop doing everything in your power to deserve your reputation. Only then will you not have that reputation.

Bashing victim questions police response. Wow, a double whammy! Gay and in the DTES? You might as well have a sign that says “I feel like getting the shit kicked out of me for no good reason by a bunch of douchebags from Surrey”.

No jail for fetal alcohol sufferers: lawyers. Um, I’m not sure if you’ve read Brave New World, but how else are we supposed to create a sub race of gammas? Duh.

Future schools may house daycare and social housing. All that’s missing is a jail and you have a convenient little compound where all the gammas can hang out.

A case for free transit in the downtown core. Also, if you’re going to shut the Skytrain down at midnight on a holiday Monday maybe have some buses there that people can take instead of making those who were on the last train wait an hour and a half for a night bus. #translinksucks.
