SWAG: Win This Super Duper Extra Awesome One Of A Kind Courier Bag By “Astrosatchel”

Nikolas Badminton is the Director of Digital Strategy of global advertising agency Tribal DDB here in Vancouver. This week, he’s headed to SXSW. That’s cool for him, but it gets cooler (and not just because SXSW is a flat out gathering of cool). Attendees and presenters are there because they think cool, create cool, and do cool. Not only will Nikolas be there to offer commentary on what he and his co-workers find cool, but he’ll also be presenting on a panel called “Who Needs a Fashion Cycle? I’ve Got Social Media.” And naturally, one would want to look cool for such a thing.

In order to score the appropriate wardrobe for the event, Nikolas decided to source his clothing line-up using social media, local connections and local stores. First, he set-up a Pinterest board. Next, he enlisted the help of his good friend Molly Millar (Momentum) to buy the clothes in Vancouver. Then he approached Janna Hurtzig of Astrosatchel fame to collaborate with him on designing her first men’s bag.

His suitcase is packed with the end result. Nik is headed South, but not before has donated the above pictured Astrosatchel courier bag. Only two of these bags were made and we are giving away the one shown here. To enter, simply mention your favourite Vancouver fashion store/boutique via Twitter using this tweet:

  1. […] I’d like to say I was on holiday, or some other reason for being so slow, but all I can say is I’ve been busy just living, and trying new things creatively. The creative process can be difficult at times: I often design brilliant items, only to have to scrap them at the production stage due to cost/feasibility/where-the-heck-do-I-sell-that issues. Needless to say I was really stoked to be asked by my friend Nik to design some special Man Bags for SXSW: finally, after 14 years, I made something for the boys! Check out the project details and maybe even win a bag through our fav source for Vancouver goodness: Scout Magazine. […]
