Restaurateur Maureen Fleming has closed and sold her False Creek waterfront restaurant, Ocean 6 Seventeen (on the southwest side of the Cambie Street bridge). She will be concentrating her efforts full-time on her other property, Gastown’s So.Cial at Le Magasin. Those Ocean 6 Seventeen staff wishing to relocate to So.Cial have done so.
In keeping with Canuck tradition, particulars of the deal have not been disclosed.

My husband and I were regulars in summer. Sad to see it go.
That’s so sad. It was one of those rare Vancouver restaurants on the water where the food was as good as the location.

Great press release . Unfortunately the facts are a little distorted. The truth was they didn’t pay the rent and the landlord seized the property and locked the doors on the staff. Maureen come clean.
