New Years at Mon Bella

From the Press Release: Mon Bella Bistoria sends diners into the New Year with a stomach full of Executive Chef Brian Fowke’s Prix Fixe Menu options. Early celebrators can begin at 4pm until 7pm and enjoy a limited a lá carte menu of 3 courses for $35.

As the evening progresses, Chef Fowke has prepared a dueling selection of an Italian or French 5 course prix fixe menu $55. Beginning at 8:30pm, the array of dishes will be served, finishing with a glass of champagne at midnight.

Executive Chef Brian Fowke brings a world of experience and creativity to Mon Bella Bistoria. Chef Fowke was former President and Executive Chef at Metro and the much loved Rare Restaurant, voted best new restaurant of 2006 by Mia Stainsby of the Vancouver Sun. The front of the house is run by owner Brad Roark, who for the last eight years helped run one of the busiest rooms in the West End – Tapastree. Prior to that, he worked for three of the Top Table restaurants – Araxi, Cin Cin, and West.

Mon Bella is located in the ‘Yorkville’ neighbourhood at the foot of the Burrard Street bridge. It is a quick cab ride over the Burrard Street bridge or a 15 minute walk from downtown.1809 West 1st Avenue, Vancouver.   1. Yum! I already have plans but I’m happy to see Chef Fowke on the line again. Anyone know if he’ll still be there in late January and early February?
