Is It Unnatural To Love A Car Like Eric Bana?

Actor Eric Bana is really in love with his car and I don’t quite know what to make of it. My first ride was a souped up Chevy Nova that didn’t work. The mag wheels and the white stripe from hood to trunk looked awesome and it made me feel taller just sitting in it with my friends (I was sixteen), so I get the appeal of the muscle car. But what Mr. Bana feels for his is more primal than intellectual, more man and his dog than ode to gasoline-fueled testosterone.

Eric Bana casts himself in his perfect role: exploring the meaning of a 25-year-long relationship with his first car, “The Beast”, and ultimately the importance of the bonds that form through a common passion. Filmed over 2 years, we follow Eric on an – unexpectedly – emotional journey from inside the race car to the surreal world of the red carpet as Eric considers the importance of family, friends and what it means to keep your dreams alive. LOVE THE BEAST is as full of heart and the defining moments in life as it is about driving fast….really fast.

In theaters March 12th.

  1. I think this actually will be an interesting film. I, also being a muscle car guy, can see where he is coming from as it took me 15 years to find a car I had and lost when i was in my late teen years. and am now restoring back to glory. Definatley a labour of love.
