About Twisted Fork Bistro
Freshly in from the hinterlands, the former proprietors of the “Wood Restaurant” in Fernie, BC (voted ‘Best Resort Restaurant in North America 2003? and listed in ‘Where to eat in Canada’) have arrived with their legendary bistro menu and small-town charm to launch a new dining destination under the bright lights of Granville St.
Twisted Fork is classic French dining made simple, all the flavours, all the tender care, but with a little less fuss. With a tendency towards cream and butter, fresh homegrown ingredients, rich tasty sauces and house-baked breads, Twisted Fork features some of the mainstays of bistro dining, such as confit duck, oxtail soup, mussels with frites and frog legs – all at an incredible value.
A shop-local philosophy and a belief that BC makes some tasty liquids means an exclusively BC wine list and microbrewery selection.
Designed with plenty of wood, warm colours, comfy booths and an abundance of pillows, the room endeavours to match the menu. Simple comfort is the theme, a little candlelight, a little funky music set low… Whether it’s a glass of vino and some sweets or full-meal deal, this is the place to tuck in, slow down and enjoy the company.
