Applications for the Bruno Marti Scholarship are Now Officially Open!

It’s official: the nationally and internationally acclaimed Chef Bruno Marti – aka the “Canadian Culinary Godfather” – has given his seal of approval, and applications for the new Bruno Marti Scholarship are now officially open.

Last year (2024), Chef Marti received the honour of being awarded the Order of Canada. His next mission? To choose one recipient to receive the coveted Bruno Marti Scholarship for culinary professionalism and excellence, with the help of representatives from the Chefs’ Table Society of BC, BC Chefs Association, Okanagan Chefs Association, North Vancouver Island Culinary Association, and Les Dames d’Escoffier.

The winner of the Scholarship will walk away with the following:

A cash award to support competition training;
A two-day pass to Cooks Camp 2025 (September 10-12th, 2025 at North Arm Farm in Pemberton, BC);
A spot on the team delivering Canada’s largest family meal at Cooks Camp 2025.

If you haven’t heard of Cooks Camp, it is described by organisers as “a celebration of the Canadian culinary industry…fostering knowledge, camaraderie, and the sustainability of our profession. This two-day event is specifically curated to modernize our industry by showcasing the tools needed to be successful and resilient in our ever-changing and challenging times.” Find out more about this super special opportunity for industry professionals on the Cooks Camp website.

Throw your hat in the ring by completing and submitting the online application form HERE by Wednesday, July 30th, 2025. The fortunate winner of the Bruno Marti Scholarship will be announced on Friday, August 8th, 2025.
