The GOODS from Bistro Pastis

Vancouver, BC | From November 1 through 13th, please join us for the last menu in our Fall Flavour Fete series – this one features Charcuterie. The word ‘charcuterie’ originates from the French term ‘ cuiseur de chair’ or ‘cooker of meat.’ In France, it has been considered a high culinary art for more than 600 years and involves meat products that have been preserved in some way – by curing, brining, drying, smoking, in a terrine etc. For the next two weeks, come by and savour these rich fall flavours in Chef Tobias Grignon’s interpretations of duck prosciutto, boudin blanc, rillettes, blood sausage, rillettes and even bacon ice cream. Get all the details after the jump… Reservations are always a good idea at 604-731-5020 or on-line at www.bistropastis.com. View the menu here.

About Bistro Pastis

Bistro Pastis is as close as you can get to Paris without a plane ticket. The menu features classic bistro fare (Coq au Vin, Bouillabaisse or Steak Frites for instance) served with a contemporary touch along with one of the finest by-the-glass wine lists in Vancouver. Add streams of natural light through the café windows to the warmth of a crackling fireplace in an intimate room presided over by a genuine French Maitre d’ and you have all the ingredients for a memorable meal. If you’re in a hurry or just meeting a friend for a drink, Bistro Pastis also offers prime people-watching seats along its traditional front-room bar.
