As mentioned before, the Chefs’ Table Society of BC and the Vancity Theater have teamed up to launch a film series called Cinema To Savour, wherein four of Vancouver’s best chefs take turns choosing films that best reflect the cuisine offered at their superlative restaurants. Pino Posteraro (Cioppino’s), the society’s current president, is first up, and he’s selected Big Night, which is in my opinion the most delicious food film ever made. Together with John Bishop (Bishop’s), he’ll be serving food following the film presentation, when you’re guaranteed to be starving. Wine and beer will also be available. It all goes down tomorrow night (Monday at 7pm). Tickets are $75, and you can order them here. I’ve secured a pair to give away to a lucky Scout reader. The first person to correctly name (in the comments below) the amazing, hard-to-make and extremely delicate Italian dish that is the centerpiece of the film will win. See you there!
