Nothing beats fresh-from-the-farm produce, and with spring in full swing, that urge to fill your kitchen with local veg is real. CSAs are one of the easiest, most impactful ways to support a sustainable local food system — and they keep farmers happy, which we’re also very much on board with. If you haven’t already locked in your CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) share for the season, now’s the time! We’ve combed through our favourite options to see who’s still got spots; but move quickly — these go faster than self-control at a farmers’ market. Here’s what’s on our radar:

WHY WE CARE
CSAs (Community Supported Agriculture) aren’t just a nice idea — they’re a very good one. You get a box full of fresh, seasonal (usually organic) produce straight from the farm, and in return, you’re backing local growers who care about how food is grown. That means fewer chemicals, less transport, and veg that actually taste like something. Plus, every dollar stays in the local economy, instead of funnelling off to industrial farms over the border. So, yes: great for your plate, but also a quiet vote for the kind of food system we should all want more of.
