Vancouver, BC | Local Vancouver catering company, Savoury Chef Foods, is proud to be using FreshTap (Canada’s leader in Stainless Steel Keg Packaging for the wine industry) to offer a selection of BC’s best wines by the glass at catered special events. Founder of FreshTap Steve Thorp says, “We are excited to have Taryn and Kyle from Savoury Chef on board with the FreshTap system. They will surely find the tools to be extremely valuable to them as a caterer, and the customer’s experience with wine by the glass is phenomenal.” The approval for Savoury Chef Foods’ mobile caterer liquor license is due in part to recent liquor law changes by the Liquor Control and Licensing Branch.

Along with seasonal and local menu options, their bar and refreshment menu will feature local craft beers and crowd favourites, a great selection of wines ranging from premium to value-conscious BC wine products, as well as the standard wines by the bottle and vintage releases. Custom cocktails for group events will also be offered.

The mobile keg system can feature up to four wines on tap at any given time, served exactly according to the winemakers intentions straight from barrel to keg – down to the last pour. As a further benefit, the carbon footprint of using a wine kegging system is significantly reduced in comparison bottled wines. Sustainability is a major component to the ethical business practices that Savoury Chef Foods is committed to.
