The GOODS from Le Parisien

Vancouver, BC | For more than 200 years the French have been celebrating the storming of the Bastille. Guests are invited to celebrate this national holiday on July 14 at Vancouver’s very own two corners of France, Bistro Pastis in Kitsilano and Le Parisien in the West End. Bastille Day is a time for sharing good food and wine with friends and neighbours. Both restaurants have planned festive menus so guests can relax and enjoy with loved ones. In addition to great food, Bistro Pastis presents Vancouver’s very own chansonnier, Josh Minsky. Guests may find themselves singing along with Josh in a rousing rendition of La Marseillaise. About Le Parisien

Le Parisien is brought to you by Vancouver’s own French chevalier, John Blakeley, who also owns Kitsilano’s Bistro Pastis. Le Parisien brings the flavours of Paris’ Left Bank to Vancouver’s West End.

Executive Chef Tobias Grignon has mined France’s classic bistro repertoire to bring the best of the best to Le Parisien’s menus – roasted bone marrow, roast chicken for two, cassoulet, boudin noir, croque monsieur, moules et frites, côte de boeuf , oysters, omelettes and tartare three ways – all this and much more will satisfy any appetite seeking the authentic taste of France. Le Parisien’s prices also reflect the French bistro ethos of good food at reasonable prices – you’ll find Le Parisien is kind to the budget and the pocketbook.

Whether enjoying a leisurely lunch, meeting for drinks after work, lingering over a divine dinner or catching up with friends over brunch, you’ll find yourself immediately transported to Paris’ Left Bank. With Le Parisien’s authentic fare and Gallic atmosphere, you’ll experience your own Midnight in Paris moments. Cue the Trénet soundtrack.

Bistro Pastis is as close as you can get to Paris without a plane ticket. The menu features classic bistro fare (Coq au Vin, Bouillabaisse or Steak Frites for instance) served with a contemporary touch along with one of the finest by-the-glass wine lists in Vancouver. Add streams of natural light through the café windows to the warmth of a crackling fireplace in an intimate room presided over by a genuine French Maitre d’ and you have all the ingredients for a memorable meal. If you’re in a hurry or just meeting a friend for a drink, Bistro Pastis also offers prime people-watching seats along its traditional front-room bar.
