6 Things Worth Checking Out

2008 Massey Lectures

Weekdays at 9:05 p.m. | CBC Radio One

This week on Ideas, the CBC presents the 2008 Massey Lectures with Canadian Author Margaret Atwood.
From the CBC Ideas website:

“Legendary novelist, poet, and essayist Margaret Atwood delivers a surprising look at the topic of debt… Payback is not about practical debt management or high finance. Rather, it is an investigation into the idea of debt as an ancient and central motif in religion, literature, and the structure of human societies.”

I can’t say I am a big fan of Atwood or her often condescending tone, but it sounds like an interesting topic. I am looking forward to tuning in, but will likely end up throwing my radio at the wall.
