The People

Nathaly Nairn & Jeff Nairn – Founders

About Windfall Cider

After first falling in love with each other, and then with Spanish cider on a trip to Mexico City, Jeff and Nathaly turned a years-long hobby of cider making into what became Windfall Cider. Learning what we could from old-world techniques passed down by generations of cider makers, we experimented with as many new flavours as we could find. All until the cider was just right – and totally different than anything else in British Columbia.

Jeff, a former financial professional, and Nathaly, a long time hospitality professional, unapologetically launched Windfall Cider as an urban cidery – a departure from the traditional farm-based Cidery setup. It was evident to them that in order to help the category grow and raise the profile of cider in Canada they had to bring their cider closer to the people. North Vancouver is without a doubt the next craft hub after East Vancouver. The high concentration of craft producers coupled with the population density makes North Van the perfect location for Vancouver’s first urban cidery!

Favourable Reviews

“Amazing cider that is crafted by people who obviously take great pride in what they do. Very friendly folks at the counter too!” — Scott Sorrell, Google Reviews (March 2022)

“The best cider on the West Coast of Canada! If you are looking for a great locally made cider, Windfall is the place to go. I am in love with the Hail Mary Rosé cider. Jeff and Nathaly are both wonderful people and they have created such an incredible bottle shop with a wide variety of items to choose from. I highly recommend checking it out next time you are in North Van.” — Kyla McMullin, Google Reviews (February 2022)

“I’ve been to the Windfall Cider bottle shop since it’s opened and it is such a cool new spot! Since I’m not from the North Vancouver area, it’s always neat to check out different shops like this.

I’d have to say that Nathaly and Jeff are some of the friendliest people I have met and they make you feel so welcome as soon as you enter their cidery.

If you haven’t been here yet, you have to go. It’s a one-stop shop that has everything from an entire Windfall artwork wrapped wall to candles, merch, gift baskets and of course…CIDER!!! My favourites are Hail Mary & Northern Lights. It’s a must do in North Vancouver!” — Kiera Klassen, Google Reviews (February 2022)
