About Fergie’s Café

The very core of Fergie’s Café isn’t just our delicious food. It’s heart. It dictates how we operate our business at every level, from where we source our food to the experience we provide to our guests. It’s in the community that rallied behind us when a fire destroyed our restaurant and the care the owners have taken in its environmentally friendly redesign. It’s in the people who work here and those who dine here. It’s our local Squamish Chief Reader’s Choice Award for best breakfast and our Gold Award for sustainable practices from Green Tourism Canada.

Fergie’s Cafe is owned by a husband and wife team, Jake and Jessamy Freese, and they are determined to offer more than a restaurant that feeds guests and employs staff. “Our family and our business are one and the same,” notes Jessamy. “Our staff is an extension of our family, so they convey that feeling to our guests as well.” We take the love we receive from our guests and we pour it into our food, only to be loved more in return. It’s a never-ending, feel-good cycle that spurs every aspect of our restaurant.

We believe good food should be fresh, seasonal and down-to-earth delicious. From our signature items smoked in-house to our flavourful vegan options, each dish speaks to those elements. We work closely with local suppliers and farms to create comfort food made from scratch.

Located at the confluence of the Cheakamus and Cheekye Rivers, the iconic Fergie’s picnic tables dot a lush green lawn with the majestic peaks of the Tantalus Range overseeing it all. Nature both surrounds and shapes the Fergie’s experience.
For some of our guests, we’re a way to start their Sea to Sky adventures, from fishing up the Squamish Valley to kitesurfing in Howe Sound; for others, they reward themselves with a craft beer and Fergie’s brunch after hiking, mountain biking or trail running. We have guests who stop here on their way elsewhere and those for whom Fergie’s is the destination. They come for the delicious food, but they stay for the beautiful setting and the sense of community.

A post featuring Fergie’s Café on Squamish.com sums it up nicely: “If you don’t know about Fergie’s, don’t admit that to anyone. Drive out there immediately and order a Dubliner Benny.”

See you riverside!

“Absolutely hidden gem in Squamish. Brunch place was fabulous — rated by entire family. Benny’s were amazing, smoked salmon out of this world, and brioche French toast was a star. Definitely a must!!” – TripAdvisor user thandler2016

“Yet again I have had another amazing meal. This is a place in Squamish that you do not want to miss. I went out for brunch with my in-laws, the father said it was the best benny he’s ever had, the mother was impressed with the smoked tomato, and we found out the potatoes are smoked too. Food scraps are composted into an herb garden that they incorporate into the meal. Every time I come here, I feel so good, it’s also nice to take a little walk along the river. If you are looking for a restaurant who pours love into their food, then go here” – TripAdvisor user Tara M.
