Vancouver, BC | In support of Educating Girls of Rural China, Street Auntie is supporting Street Auntie Apertivo House to raise awareness and funds for the organization. By launching a series of events from March 22nd to May 31st, we want to unite passionate individual to support this wonderful cause while enjoying amazing food. With your generous support, 25% of proceeds* from all dining experiences reserved with the event’s unique code through the Street Auntie Aperitivo House website will be donated towards EGRC. Our mission is to raise awareness and funds to support 10 girls.
The Events:
Along with this unique code, all diners will receive a complementary beverage from Street Auntie Aperitivo House. These experiences include our $38/person lunch experiences, $58/person dinner experiences, $58/person vegetarian experiences, $88/person Imperial Afternoon Tea experiences. Special aperitivo menu’s can also be reserved by special requests. Throughout the months of March, April, and May EGRC will also be hosting Pioneer Advocate Seminars to raise awareness at Street Auntie Aperitivo House. Street Auntie Aperitivo House will be donating 25% of all proceeds generated through these seminars to the organization.

About Street Auntie Aperitivo House | An innovative new culinary concept inspired by the comfort, soul and flavours of authentic Chinese street food makes its debut in Downtown Vancouver when Street Auntie Aperitivo House opens its doors at 1039 Granville Street on Wednesday, November 25, 2020.Drawing inspiration from her childhood experiences growing up in Yunnan Province, China, where street-food vendors are commonly referred to by a term of respect and affection known as ‘Street Aunties’, Owner Yuyina Zhang designed the Street Auntie experience around five different menus that each reflect an important part of food culture in Yunnan — Butcher Auntie, Ocean Auntie, Yunnan Auntie, Dim Sum Auntie and Vegetarian Auntie.
About Educating Girls of Rural China (EGRC) | Educating Girls of Rural China (EGRC) was established in Canada in 2005 under the belief that educated women have educated children, educating women is a fundamental way to lift people out of poverty, close the gender gap and build better societies for all. In 15 years, EGRC has provided financial sponsorship and emotional support to over 1,400 girls and young women from rural regions of Western China, mainly living in Gansu Province, to receive a secondary and post-secondary education. EGRC sponsored students have achieved over 99% graduation rate. EGRC’s work has been supported by a wide range of individuals, organizations, and businesses, both internationally and in China.
