A no messing around guide to the coolest things to eat, drink and do in Vancouver and beyond. Community. Not clickbait.

Livlite Gives a Supplier Shout Out to Harvest Community Foods

Scout works with a lot of local restaurants to get the word out about the cool and delicious things they’re doing, but they couldn’t do what they do without access to awesome ingredients. To get what they need, culinary creatives depend on personal networks of passionate artisans, farmers and producers who often work hard without ever seeing the glory they deserve. Since it’s always good to recognize those who have your back, we bring you the Supplier Shout Out!

Our latest shout out comes courtesy of zero waste grocery delivery company, Livlite, who share their love for one like-minded local grocer and partner in business…

Which one of your suppliers do you want to give a shout out to? Harvest Community Foods.

What makes Harvest Community Foods so special? They are truly community based. They carry all sorts of locally produced and grown food, and they make amazing in-house granola, yogurt, and cookies, just to name a few.

What is your favourite product that you carry from Harvest Community Foods? The CSA bags that they put together are amazing – every week they source a locally farmed assortment of produce and we deliver them. We also love their granola!

How does Harvest Community Foods fit into your zero waste goals? We use reusable containers to pick up products, yogurt is produced directly in our jars, and the CSA product goes right into Livlite totes. No waste at all!

Why do you love working with Harvest Community Foods? They are open to ideas and collaboration and truly are a neighbourhood staple that is always so comforting to visit.
