Flourist Refocuses on Food Service Partnerships With New Head Miller, Andrew Peterson

The GOODS from Flourist

Vancouver, BC | Six months after opening the Flourist Mill + Bakery at 3433 Commercial Street, the team at Flourist are refocusing resources on serving the restaurant and chef community in Vancouver and beyond. Flourist started as a restaurant supplier first, delivering their traceable Canadian-grown grains and beans to the city’s most esteemed restaurants long before they ever fired up their original flour mill (the first of its kind in the city).

As the operations have expanded, so has their team, and they are thrilled to announce their new Head Miller and Production Manager, Andrew Peterson. Andrew joins the team after years spent in other parts of the industry, notably at Ingrain/Arms Reach, Two Rivers Meats, and the newly renovated The Gull.

Andrew brings an in-depth understanding of the restaurant business and an obsessive passion for seeing our esteemed Canadian dry goods reach more restaurant plates. Andrew is largely driven by learning about food systems and where everything comes from, which makes him a fantastic resource for anyone in the industry looking to incorporate Flourist’s premium grains, beans, flour, and their new single-source Canadian Mustard Seeds.
