Beetbox Hosts Vegan Wine & ‘Cheese’ Mingler on Valentine’s Day

Vancouver, BC | Vancouver’s hottest new plant-based restaurant Beetbox will give lovers of plant-based cuisine and boutique wineries a chance to enjoy vegan wines and dairy free ‘cheese’ when it hosts a Valentine’s Wine & ‘Cheese’ Mingler on Friday, February 14 at 7:30 p.m.

Presented in partnership with Blue Heron Creamery — a Vancouver producer of 100-per-cent plant-based, cultured products — the grazing-style event showcases an array of Blue Heron ‘cheeses’ that includes Mostarda Cheddar, Ardea Blue, Fig Cumulus, Wolf Flower and more, as well as canapés by Beetbox Chef/Co-owner Bryan Satterford, all paired with Old-World all-vegan wine.

The mingler includes welcome bubbly (La Jara Prosecco Brut DOC) and a glass of wine from producers that include Austria’s Domaine Wachau (‘Terraces’ Grüner Veltliner 2016), Spain’s Les Hermanas (‘Organic Monastrell’ 2017) and France’s Chapoutier (‘Bila Hout’ 2017, red and white blends) and Les Jamelles (Syrah 2016). A limited number of tickets are available for $25 per person plus tax and gratuity, and are available online via beetboxveg.com.

Guests are also welcome to choose from a selection of vegan beer, cocktails and wine available for purchase by the glass and bottle during the event, as well as Beetbox’s lineup of vegan, vegetarian and ‘flexitarian’-friendly comfort-food favourites.

Opened last fall at 1074 Davie Street, Beetbox is the latest project for industry veterans GM/Co-owner Justin Tisdall and Chef/Co-owner Satterford and is a unique counter-service concept offering a menu of mouthwatering plant-based meat alternatives for lunch, dinner and late-night noshing as well as take-out and delivery via DoorDash and Foodora.
