Richmond’s Origo Club to Host Pair of Exclusive Wine Dinners in November

The GOODS from Origo Club

Richmond, BC | Origo Club will welcome a pair of VIP ambassadors from the world of wine and sake when it hosts a Krug Champagne Dinner on Tuesday, November 12 and a Fukumitsuya Sake Dinner on Wednesday, November 20 at the Richmond restaurant, café and art gallery.

KRUG Champagne Dinner
Tuesday, November 12 | 6:30 pm

On Tuesday, November 12, Origo Club will welcome Krug brand ambassador Brent Sutcliffe as a special guest when it teams with Moët Hennessy – Louis Vuitton SE to co-host a five-course dinner menu paired with four exquisite cuvées of Krug Champagne including a Krug Grand Cuvée in magnum edition, Krug Rosé, and 2004 and 2006 vintages of Krug Vintage.

Widely regarded as the fullest expression of Champagne, Krug Grand Cuvée is created every year from a blend of 120 different wines selected from more than 10 different vintages to lend myriad flavours and aromas to each bottle. Unexpected and daring, Krug Rosé’s broad and extensive aromatic palette is known for its extreme delicacy and ability to confront full-flavoured dishes, while Krug Vintages are enhanced by a stay of more than a decade in the Krug cellars.

Fukumitsuya Sake Dinner
Wednesday, November 20 | 6:30 pm

On Wednesday, November 20, Origo Club and That’s Life Wine + Sake will welcome Taichiro Fukumitsu of Fukumitsuya Brewery to Vancouver for the first time in Vancouver in 25 years as Origo Club pairs a six-course gourmet dinner with a variety of seasonal and classic sakes from the celebrated producer.

Prepared by Head Chef David Pan, the menu will demonstrate the versatility of sake and how well it pairs with French cuisine in such dishes as Pétoncles et Chou-Fleur (scallops, cauliflower three ways), Morue Charbonnière (sablefish, matsutake broth, basil spinach, wild mushrooms) and Venaison (venison, miso fondant potato, morels, cipollini onion).

Tickets to the one-night-only dinner, which includes such prized Fukumitsuya sakes as Kagatobi ‘Ai’ Junmai Daiginjo, Kuro Obi ‘DoDo’ Yamahai Junmai, a seasonal Hiyaoroshi and the five-year-aged Momotose, are available for $145 per person inclusive of tax and gratuity.

TICKETS | A limited number of tickets to both Origo Club’s LVMH Krug Champagne Dinner on Tuesday, November 12 and Fukumitsuya Sake Dinner on Wednesday, November 20 are available at origoclub.ca/events-private-dining.
