The GOODS from Two Rivers Specialty Meats

North Vancouver, BC | Tricks, treats and delicious meats are coming to Two Rivers Specialty Meats on Thursday, October 31 in honour of Halloween. The much-loved North Vancouver butcher shop and eatery will celebrate the ghoulish holiday this year by serving up a variety of spooktacular specials and feature platters designed to fright and delight on Halloween night.

Order if you dare, the Two Rivers ‘Carniboard’ lives up to its carnivorous name and includes a number of savoury meats prepared on site and served with a selection of tasty accompaniments. Designed for sharing, the Halloween feature board ($55) includes mushroom-and-spinach-stuffed beef heart, braised beef ribs, mini piri-piri sausage links and fried sweetbreads. Meaty offerings will be paired with scratch-made broccoli tahini slaw and house-made mustards and savoury sauces.

To make sure little boys and ghouls are well fed before or after a night of trick-or-treating, Two Rivers will also be featuring a special Halloween Kids Platter. Available for one day only, the platter includes a ‘Mummy Dog’ – Two Rivers’ signature natural beef hot dog wrapped in flaky pastry – accompanied by French fries, fresh-cut veggies and dip, and a frightfully fun ‘Worms in Dirt’ dessert. Perfect for kids 12 and under, the Halloween Kids Platter is priced at $12, with the option to add a second Mummy Dog for $5.

Available for one day only on Thursday, October 31, all Halloween features at Two Rivers can be enjoyed on a walk-in, first come first served basis. Local trick-or-treaters are also invited to visit the neighbourhood butcher shop and eatery to show off their creative costumes in exchange for a sweet bite-sized treat.

Two Rivers Specialty Meats works closely with small local farm partners from B.C. and Alberta to offer ethical, sustainable meats at its onsite butcher shop and family style restaurant. All menu items and retail goods are made with high-quality natural animal products that are raised without growth hormones, antibiotics or chemical feed additives.
