Ancora Debuts New Brunch, Prix-Fixe Lunch and Cocktail Hour Menus

Vancouver, BC | Ancora Waterfront Dining and Patio has introduced new weekend brunch and weekday prix-fixe lunch options as well as an expanded menu of food and drinks for Cocktail Hour at its Ambleside and False Creek locations.

Starting this weekend, Ancora will offer brunch service from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at Ancora Ambleside (1351 Bellevue Ave., West Vancouver) on Saturdays and Sundays, and at Ancora False Creek (1600 Howe Street, Vancouver) on Sundays only. Ancora’s new brunch menu offers a showcase for award-winning Executive Chef Ricardo Valverde’s seafood-focused fare with Nikkei flair in such dishes as:
– grilled zucchini salad (soft boiled egg, queso fresco, Huancaina sauce), $14;
– soft shell crab taco (mango salsa, harissa emulsion, seaweed, ikura), $16;
– smoked salmon belly eggs benny (botanical greens, nori-spiced baby potatoes, miso hollandaise); $17;
– Dungeness crab eggs benny (botanical greens, nori-spiced baby potatoes, miso hollandaise), $19;
– forbidden rice Peruvian paella (black cod croquettes, rocoto aioli, fried egg), $22;
– flank steak burger (cooked medium, rocoto aioli, aged cheddar, yucas bravas), $19, add fried egg $3;

Valverde is also debuting a new prix-fixe lunch menu at both Ancora locations on weekdays from noon to 2:30 p.m. Offered in addition to the full lunch menu that is available seven days a week, the new prix-fixe option features a choice of starter (zucchini a la Huancaina or roasted yam soup), main (Peruvian-style paella or roasted summer vegetables) and dessert (spiced picarones or daily sorbet with fresh fruit) for $29 per person plus tax and gratuity. Guests can also add a glass of select wine for an additional $6.

Both Ancora locations are also getting summer evenings off to an early start with new food and drink options for Cocktail Hour Sundays through Fridays from 4 to 6 p.m. at False Creek and Ambleside. Along with true buck-a-shuck oysters with spicy ponzu, small plates such as albacore tuna causas and sablefish croquettes for $13 and sashimi and sushi rolls for $11, both locations will also feature specials on signature cocktails, wine by the glass and beer and cider.
