Vancouver, BC | Boulevard Kitchen & Oyster Bar will add a new twist to its award-winning recipe for culinary excellence when the Vancouver restaurant hosts a pair of Vegan Harvest Dinners at 6:30 p.m. on August 8 and October 3.
Spearheaded by Boulevard’s Executive Chef – Signature Restaurants Alex Chen — Canadian Culinary Champion, Vancouver Magazine Chef of the Year and inaugural winner on The Food Network Canada’s Iron Chef Canada TV series in 2018 — both dinners will showcase the creativity of his kitchen team as he redefines the levels of sophistication and flavour of vegan cuisine.
Each evening will begin with a sparkling-wine-and-canapé reception before guests enjoy a five-course vegan menu comprising fresh, organic ingredients from such local providers as Delta’s Cropthorne Farm, Vancouver’s Sole Food Street Farms and Surrey’s Zaklan Heritage Farm.
“This is our way of showcasing the abundance of BC’s summer harvest in a uniquely vegan format,” says Chen, “while also celebrating the many partnerships we enjoy with our extended family of local farms and foragers.”
Beyond celebrating its fifth year as one of the city’s leading culinary destinations, the restaurant recently earned the No. 31 spot on the prestigious 2019 ranking of Canada’s 100 Best Restaurants, the 2019 Where to Dine Vancouver Award for Best Hotel Dining and back-to-back wins in the Best Upscale and Best Seafood categories at the 2018 and ’19 Vancouver Magazine Restaurant Awards as well as the magazine’s 2019 nod for Best Dessert.
