Vancouver, BC | Burdock & Co is expanding its FOH team and hiring a P/T brunch server and a server assistant.

For the server role, we are looking for applicants with Saturday and Sunday AM availability. The right candidate will be an energetic team player with a love for all things associated with coffee and hollandaise! This is a great chance to be part of our team, learn about our award-winning natural wine list and the opportunity to move into night service.

We are passionate about providing unique and memorable experiences to all our guests. Applicants should have a minimum of two years experience in casual fine dining restaurants, a positive and team-oriented attitude and should to love to talk about food and wine. We have deep beliefs about supporting local, sustainable and responsible farming and cultivating strong relationships with each grower we use. We are also strongly committed to low-intervention, naturalist wines with great stories and revolutionary wine makers. Previous wine experience and education is an asset.

The server assistant role is perfect for someone looking to break into the restaurant industry and interested in moving into serving. This role focuses on managing reservations and waitlists, running food and aiding service staff. We have a small team so there’s lots of opportunity to learn about our award-winning food and wine programs. Applicants should be organized, friendly, efficient, eager to learn and comfortable working in an intimate, yet face-paced room. Part-time hours to start. Applicants must be 19 years of age with a valid Serving It Right Certificate (or equivalent) and weekend evening availability.
