The GOODS from Ancora
Vancouver, BC | Ancora Waterfront Dining and Patio Executive Chef Ricardo Valverde and Ancora False Creek Chef de Cuisine Raimund Heuser will pair their signature Peruvian-Japanese ‘Nikkei’ style of cuisine with an array of Portugal’s most celebrated wines when the restaurant hosts a one-night-only wine dinner at their False Creek location on Tuesday, April 2.
Beginning with a reception at 6:30 p.m., the ‘Wines of Portugal’ Dinner highlights the portfolios of both Quinta de Cabriz and Casa de Santar, two estates located in the prominent Dão wine region, whose wines showcase two of the key indigenous grapes grown in the area in Encruzado (white) and Touriga Nacional (red). The dinner will also feature a premium red wine from Quinta do Encontro, located in the heart of Portugal’s Bairrada region.
Guest speaker and Global Wines International Export Director Pedro Teixeira will host the dinner in concert with the Ancora False Creek sommelier team to take guests on a guided tour of the Dão and Bairrada regions and their famed wines throughout the service. A limited number of tickets to the multi-course dinner are available for $150 per person plus tax and gratuity.
