We Want a Big Box of Delicious Happiness from Chinatown’s Pazzo Chow

We’re a pretty satisfied bunch, but that doesn’t mean we aren’t covetous. Sometimes we see things out there that we just must have. Cool Things We Want is an archive of those earthly desires.

Got some last minute shopping to do? Candles, scarves and mittens are all lovely gifts, but if you really want to show someone you care you give them food! Vancouver’s tiniest Italian delicatessen, Pazzo Chow, is offering a fine line-up of gift boxes right now (all packed into slick-looking black boxes ready for pick up) that will not only leave a loved one with a full belly, but will also save them the trouble of having to plan a meal or do grocery shopping. A gift like that is solid gold this time of year, and we want one!

OPTION 1 | HAPPINESS ($45)

This box includes (details from Pazzo Chow):

– Sugo Sauce (a tomato based sauce made in Vancouver with love)
– Sugo Sauce olive oil (natural flavour infused high-quality Italian olive oil)
– Pasta (either Martelli, a classic Italian handmade pasta or Caponi, pasta made from rice and corn for folks with gluten sensitivity)
– A jar of preserved deliciousness made in house and selected for you (think antipasto or chili spread)
– Pazzo Chow treat (house-made classic salted caramels or festive torrone).

OPTION 2 | DOUBLE HAPPINESS ($85)

This box includes (details from Pazzo Chow):

– Sugo Sauce (a tomato based sauce made in Vancouver with love)
– Sugo Sauce Olive Oil (natural flavour infused high-quality Italian olive oil)
– Pasta (either Martelli, a classic Italian handmade pasta or Caponi, pasta made from rice and corn for folks with gluten sensitivity)
– Two jars of preserved deliciousness made in house and selected for you (think antipasto and chili sauce)
– Pazzo Chow treat – house-made classic salted caramels or festive torrone
– An Opinel Folding Pocket Knife (made in France, this knife makes food prep easier and much more fun, carry it around with you so you don’t get frustrated using someone else’s “sharpest knife” when you’re in charge of cutting the tomatoes!)
– A stylish and functional Babushka kitchen cloth.
– Pazzo Chow Travel Cup (includes a handful of Pazzo Chow coffee beans)
– Chocolate sardines – yes, you read that right. Don’t worry, they are delicious chocolates in the shape of tiny fish (not chocolate covered fish, because that would be disgusting).

OPTION 3 | GOLDEN DELUXE DOUBLE HAPPINESS | ($125)

This box includes (details from Pazzo Chow):

– Sugo Sauce (a tomato based sauce made in Vancouver with love)
– Sugo Sauce olive oil (natural flavour infused high-quality Italian olive oil)
– Pasta (either Martelli, a classic Italian handmade pasta or Caponi, pasta made from rice and corn for folks with gluten sensitivity)
– Two jars of preserved deliciousness made in house and selected for you (think antipasto, lemon marmalade, and chili spread)
– A stylish and functional Babushka kitchen cloth
– A Pazzo Chow Travel Cup (including a handful of Pazzo Chow coffee beans)
– A housemate treat and some chocolate sardines – yes, you read that right. Don’t worry, they are just chocolates in the shape of Sardines, not chocolate covered sardines – yuck.
– Marco Zanier handmade Italian coloured pasta in fun shapes, naturally dyed and great for a special occasion.
– Olives – delicious as a snack, in a cocktail or as a bonus ingredient for extra zing.
– Opinel Pairing Set – This 4 piece set (made in France) will help with all food prep.
