Popular Le Tigre Food Truck Breaks Down, Pops Up For Lunch Inside Torafuku

The GOODS from Torafuku

Vancouver, BC | Fans of the Le Tigre food truck will now be able to cosy up indoors to enjoy their favourite street food dishes as Torafuku (958 Main St.) presents Temporary Parking: Le Tigre Pop-Up Lunch, starting Tuesday, Nov. 13, 2018.

Torafuku is the brick-and-mortar sister eatery to the Le Tigre food truck, which sadly broke down last week. An estimated date of repair has not been determined, but in the meantime, Le Tigre’s staff will have a permanent space to continue serving up some of the city’s most sought after lunch fare.

“We had to find a sustainable solution fast in order to keep our staff working,” explains Clement Chan, chef and co-owner of Torafuku and Le Tigre. “We have a great team and a loyal clientele, we want everyone to be well taken care of.”

The Le Tigre menu will be available for lunch from 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., Tuesday through Friday starting Nov. 13 at Torafuku, with favourites like Big Bang Beans, Kickass Rice, Crack Salad and Finger Licken Chicken.

Lunch delivery will also be available through the restaurant’s food delivery partners Foodee, Foodora and DoorDash.

About Torafuku | Meaning “lucky tiger” in Japanese, Torafuku is nestled on the border of historic Chinatown, offering elevated Asian cuisine by Le Tigre food truck owners Clement Chan and Steve Kuan. Designed for sharing, the menu explores the borders of pan-Asian food with classical French and Italian influences. Dishes are playful in spirit and serious in execution, delivering bold interpretations on flavours traditionally found in Japanese, Taiwanese, Korean and Vietnamese cuisine. Every plate features seasonal ingredients, straight from local farmers. Located at 958 Main St., Vancouver, B.C., Torafuku is open six days a week, Tuesday to Sunday for dinner, starting at 5:30 p.m., and Tuesday to Friday for lunch from 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. For more information, please visit torafuku.ca.
