The GOODS from Pidgin

Vancouver, BC | This coming Sunday, join us for a very special night featuring highly acclaimed, Michelin-starred Chef Stefan Hartmann. Making a mark in the European culinary scene at some of its top restaurants such as Vau in Berlin, Jacques Maximin in France, and his eponymous restaurant in Berlin, he brought his talents to Vancouver in 2015. Now embracing his new home by making some of the best tacos on the West Coast with powerhouse Tacofino as Regional Executive Chef.

Our very own Chef Wesley Young will collaborate on a special east-vs-west style menu with our long-time friend and restaurant neighbour, Chef Hartmann. Both chefs will highlight a delicious contrast of flavours focused on German and Pan-Asian cooking styles. Here’s the menu for the evening:

Kaernter nudel (white truffle)

Crispy escabeche

Scallop and pork belly with black trumpet, potato espuma, sauerkraut foam, crispy sauerkraut

Sea cucumber in dashi

Milk-fed smoked veal top-cap loin with pumpkin goulash, confit leeks, sweet bread, organic carrots

Braised wild board with daikon

Buchteln, dried fruit

As always, guests will have the option of selecting from a sake and wine pairing option provided by our sommelier and GM Alain Canuel, as well as à la carte from our drink menu. Doors open at 6:30 pm (Sunday, October 21st), with dinner starting at 7:00 pm sharp.
