The Acorn to Pair With Orofino for Outdoor Long Table Feast at Klippers Organics Farm

The GOODS from The Acorn

Vancouver, BC | Vancouver’s internationally renowned vegetarian restaurant, The Acorn, presents an exclusive limited seating long table dinner at Klippers Organics Farm (2200 Ferko Road) in Cawston, BC, with wine pairings by neighbouring Orofino Winery on Thursday, August 23rd. Tickets are $120 (tax and gratuity included) from The Acorn website, www.theacornrestaurant.ca.

The Acorn is teaming up with Klippers Organics, one of BC’s most respected organic farms, and Orofino Winery, recently awarded one of Canada’s top 10 small Canadian Wineries by WineAlign, to bring you a unique 5-course dining experience using the finest quality ingredients grown on the farm with wine pairings selected by Orofino Winemaker John Weber.

The dinner will consist of 5 unique dishes, served family-style, designed for the occasion using the freshest produce that Klippers is known for. Everything will be prepared on the day using the Klippenstein family kitchen steps away from the outdoor table setting and within arm’s reach of the farm itself. The Acorn chefs Brian Luptak and Devon Latte will introduce each course and Orofino’s John and Virginia Weber will speak to the pairing and story of the wine.

The event will also be documented for use in The Acorn’s upcoming cookbook published by Penguin Random House.

For those travelling from out of town, Klippers and Orofino both offer guest suites available for rent on the night of the event. First come, first served.

This will be The Acorn’s third installment of its Vintage + Veg collaborative series. Vintage + Veg is The Acorn’s opportunity to create off-menu dishes, often working with one farm or forager, that are designed with a particular winery, brewery, or distiller’s unique vision and pairings in mind. Previous collaborations have included Odd Society Spirits, Kanazawa Wines, Summerhill Winery, and Lance Wild Crafts Foraging.
