What We’re All About:
Belgard Kitchen at The Settlement Building is one component of a collective of manufacturing and lifestyle brands including Vancouver Urban Winery and Postmark Brewing. We share a passion for fresh, local food, BC VQA wine, craft beer, the outdoors, photography, music, and design. Our brands are influenced by the West Coast lifestyle, a passion for doing what we love, being innovative and taking risks.
Located in Railtown, we provide a diverse menu selection with three distinct offerings — Lunch, Brunch + Evening. Our lunch and brunch service is from 11 am and 10 am (respectively) to 3 pm. Our dinner service is a unique, family-style sharing service designed for our guests to try as much of the menu as possible. Our wine list is 100% made in B.C. Our beer is fresh and sessionable.

The Role
As AGM, your role is first and foremost running the night business. You are responsible for its execution, starting with the host to the kitchen partners and to your junior leaders. You work hand in hand with the Sous and Chef de Partie of night. You are the champion of food quality and bill times. You have a keen eye for detail on all aspects of the business. On the floor, your focus should be on the guest experience.
You are also to assist the GM in operational and managerial duties. Outside of running the floor, you are responsible for the schedule. This is to be posted one or two weeks in advance. You are also responsible for reporting the night business at team meetings, reviewing sales, labor, people, and environment.
Your relationships with the team, including staff, leaders, owners, etc. are crucial to your success as the AGM. It is part of your responsibilities to be having one on one conversations with staff at least once a period. You are to meet with your junior leaders as frequently as possible. Culture, culture, culture! The way you treat both staff and customer sets the tone for the whole community here at Belgard.
