Hoth Rescue From Star Wars Synchs Perfectly With Drone Rescue Footage in Himalayas

(via) Rick Allen, a 65 year own mountaineer from Scotland, went missing while coming down from the summit of Broad Peak in the Himalayas (the 12th highest mountain in the world). Though feared dead, Allen was found alive by a drone and was rescued soon thereafter.

If you’re a bit of a nerd like me, you’ll agree that the footage recalls Snowspeeders searching for and finding Han Solo and Luke Skywalker on the ice planet of Hoth in The Empire Strikes Back. Press play below for the Star Wars audio while watching the drone video above. It’s pretty seamless! If anyone has the time to do a proper overlay, please do so and send me the YouTube link!
