Flying Ant Day | natural phenomenon | The one or two days a year, usually around the beginning of summer, when local ants take wing to mate, often in swarms. In some places, they fill the air so grotesquely as to resemble plagues. Not officially observed.

Usage: “It’s gotta be Flying Ant Day because there are half a dozen of the sexed up critters currently writhing in my beer…”
