Grain ‘Flour Shop’ Popping Up in Gastown for Special Bake-Off and Bread Sale

The lovely folks at Grain have joined forces with some bread-obsessed bakers and chefs in Vancouver for Flour Shop, a pop-up bake-off and flash bread sale that you won’t want to miss.

Derek Gray of Savio Volpe, Eva Chin of Royal Dinette, Alexandrea Fladhamer of Fiore, Bardia llbeiggi of Farmers Apprentice and Letitia Wan of DiBeppe Ristorante will gather at Di Beppe between 12-1pm on Saturday, June 16th to present their bread to a panel of judges (Andrew Morrison of Scout, the Dallah of Superbaba, and Sophie Mackenzie of the blog Wholehearted Eats). After the bake-off, the breads will go on sale to the public. Hustle down to Gastown to score yourself a loaf (or two) while meeting all the chefs and bakers and learning all about traceable grains.

Get sorted with some pre-order action here. You can also stock up on flour, whole grains and beans, cookies, brownies, and sourdough starter as a free gift with purchase (don’t forget to bring your own jar!). Find out more.
