Cabrito to Host “A Tapaffair to Remember” With Main Street Brewing on May 31

The GOODS from Cabrito

Vancouver, BC | As part of Vancouver Craft Beer Week, “A Tapaffair to Remember” is the creation of the team at Cabrito Tapas and Jack Bensley and Nick Taylor of Main Street Brewwing.

This one night only affair will feature six unique tapas created for specially this event by Chefs Alex Carriere and Dereck Johnson. They are perfectly paired with beers by Jack Bensley of Main Street Brewing, including some special brews that Cabrito and Main Street will develop together and will be available only for this one special night.

The team recently assembled at Main Street to start the process of brewing one of the beers to be featured on the night – a Rosemary Lemon Saison.

There will also be a Multigrain Farmhouse Ale, to which the addition of Lustau Puerto Fino Sherry promises to make for an interesting combination that results in a nice Farmhouse beer — very dry and rich in flavour, clean and fresh with a slight tangy yeast taste.

The rest of the tapas will be inspired by spring flavours and will be typical of Cabrito’s inventive style, like fresh halibut cheeks with beer aioli and oyster with smoked paprika espuma.

You can snag a ticket for the May 31st dinner for $65 including tax and gratuity through Eventbrite.
