Beaucoup Bakery Launches New Spring Menu Inspired by All Things ‘Tea’

The GOODS from Beaucoup Bakery & Cafe

Vancouver, BC | Beaucoup Bakery & Café (2150 Fir Street) is shining a spotlight on a beloved afternoon beverage, tea, and infusing a variety of quality tea blends from Bellocq Tea Atelier and local Granville Island Tea Company into its new spring pastry line-up. Starting Tuesday, March 13, 2018, customers can indulge in three “tea-sweet” pastries and two new vegetarian savoury options: the Exotic Rooibos Financier, Milk Tea Croissant, Almond Pear Tart, Minted Edamame and Roasted Carrot Tarte, and a Chickpea and Creamy Eggplant Sandwich.

“I love tea and the tea culture here in Vancouver is very strong,” explains Betty Hung, co-owner of Beaucoup Bakery. “It all started with an idea to include milk tea in one of our creations and the idea blossomed from there. Bellocq has been a partner of Beaucoup’s since the very beginning. And, we wanted to also include a local partner, Granville Island Tea Company. Both lines have incredible tea.”

The London Fog Bostock ($4.75) features house-made brioche with syrup, Earl Grey tea frangipane, and toasted almond slices. While the Exotic Rooiboos Financier ($2.75) brings together brown butter tea cakes with a fruity rooibos and topped with crunchy slivered almonds.

Beaucoup’s signature double-baked croissant for spring is a Milk Tea Croissant ($5.50) filled with a milk tea cream, frangipane, and topped with a house-made digestive biscuit. The Almond Pear Tart ($6.75) is made with a fruity tea infused pear, almond frangipane cream, vanilla pastry cream, and finished with frosted almond slices.

The two new savoury vegetarian options are great for brunch, lunch, or a quick snack. The Minted Edamame and Roasted Carrot Tarte ($4.95) features a minted edamame puree, roasted carrots, feta cheese, and roasted almonds. While the Chickpea and Creamy Eggplant Sandwich ($9.50) is made with a roasted eggplant puree, chickpea salad with basil and sundried tomatoes, cucumbers, and fresh goat cheese.

All Beaucoup Bakery items are made fresh daily and can also be pre-ordered for pick-up in large quantities. Spring seasonal items will be available until June 24, 2018. For more information, please visit www.beaucoupbakery.com.
