Gastown’s Bauhaus to Expand with Restaurants in Toronto and China

The GOODS from Bauhaus

Vancouver, BC | Nearly three years ago, film director Uwe Boll opened the high-end Bauhaus Restaurant in Vancouver’s historic Gastown, and now has his sights set on opening in Toronto in Spring 2019 and expanding to China. Bauhaus has become the top fine dining restaurant in British Columbia, and is one of the only Canadian restaurants recognized by the prestigious World’s 50 Best Restaurants’ Diner’s Discovery Series, along with Toronto’s Alo and Newfoundland’s Fogo Island Inn.

“Thanks to Vancouver’s reputation as an international travel destination, we have had the opportunity to serve guests from all over the world, and in 2019 we will be taking Bauhaus east to Toronto,” says Bauhaus Restaurant owner Uwe Boll. “In the Spring 2019 we will open Bauhaus Restaurant in Toronto on the ground floor of The Harlowe, a brand new building in the heart of Toronto. We are excited to bring modern German cuisine to Toronto.”

The Chinese community of Vancouver has been a great supporter of Bauhaus Restaurant, and Boll is bringing Bauhaus to China. At 40 times larger than The Palms in Dubai, the Evergrande Group’s Ocean Flower Island in southern China will be a holiday paradise, and we are happy to announce that Bauhaus Group will be opening a location at the water’s edge at Ocean Flower Island. Alongside Michelin-starred restauranteurs from Paris and Scandinavia, Bauhaus will be the top level house on the island.

Three months ago, the Bauhaus Group took over The Blenheim Pub in Kitsilano, changing the sports bar concept into a family-friendly dining restaurant with a children’s play area, classic pub-fare menu, and hand-tossed stone oven pizzas.
