Responsible for overseeing a station during mise-en-place and service
Accountable for inventory management and cost control
Maintains sanitation standards throughout the kitchen to comply with Provincial regulations
Provides input into product ordering
Ensures food quality in presentation and production
Assists with other related duties and responsibilities as assigned

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Sous Chef creating creative, high quality menu items, preferably at a high-volume restaurant
Food Safe certification, a degree in the Culinary Arts or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Exceptional interpersonal, presentation and fluent communication skills in English, where building a rapport comes naturally
Experience in food costing and menu development
Experience in garde manger, and high-volume line expediting is an asset
Highly committed to a premium level of quality
Skilled at developing and creating dining experiences that drive customer satisfaction and loyalty
Solid organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple projects at one time
Displays a positive attitude, maintains enthusiasm and celebrates success
Computer literate in systems related to the department
Understanding of Industry business principles

JUNIOR ACCOUNTANT

POSITION: Junior Accountant
REPORTS TO: Controller, Whistler

COMPANY PROFILE:

SUMMARY:
Reporting to the Controller, Whistler, the Junior Accountant assists with the financial operations of various Toptable venues in Whistler, working closely with the Controller, Whistler. This position focuses on the day-to-day tasks of both operations and finance.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
(Other duties may be assigned from time to time):

Performs financial duties for Araxi, Bar Oso, Il Caminetto, and future Whistler restaurants
Performs accounts payable duties, which include invoice entry, vendor communication, statement reconciliations, and cheque requisitions
Performs daily reconciliations, which includes cash, credit cards, and other payment types.
Performs bank account and credit card activity, seeking documentation where needed
Assist operations with inventory control process and performing variance analysis
Assist with period end, quarter end, and year end filings (employee, vendors, banking, corporate)
Maintain various finance working papers and ledgers
Maintains strong financial controls and processes
Assists Operations when possible
Ad hoc duties as needed

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

Good working knowledge of MS Office and/or Gsuite Applications
Knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
Superior attention to detail and organizational skills
A proactive, self-starter with the ability to be independent and stay one step ahead
Knowledge of Sage 300 and POS systems is an asset.
Experience in restaurant/hospitality finance is an asset
Ability to handle conflicting deadlines and prioritize
