Farmer’s Apprentice and Kinome to Pair Up for Special Collaborative Dinner on Nov. 20

The GOODS from Farmer’s Apprentice

Vancouver, BC | Farmer’s Apprentice Chef/Owner David Gunawan and Chef/Owner Ryoma Matarai of Kitsilano restaurant Kinome Japanese Kitchen will combine their culinary talents for a special collaborative dinner at the award-winning South Granville dining room on Monday, November 20 at 6 and 8:30 p.m.

Gunawan, who previously joined forces with Matarai for a pair of sold-out dinners at Farmer’s Apprentice and Kinome earlier this year, is thrilled to once again welcome his colleague and friend into the South Granville kitchen to spotlight Matarai’s authentic Japanese cuisine.

The celebrated Vancouver chefs will work in tandem to prepare a six-course, Far East-inspired menu featuring seafood dishes such as medai with grilled bone consommé and elephant heart plum vinegar as well as Chef Ryoma’s signature handmade lapsang souchong soba with mushroom consommé, served alongside a selection of wine and sake pairings handpicked by Wine Director Kieran Fanning in partnership with That’s Life Gourmet Wine + Sake.
