New Location of Railtown Cafe Now Open at 429 Granville Street

The GOODS from Railtown Cafe

Vancouver, BC | Railtown Cafe’s bold plan to lay down tracks to a trio of new neighbourhoods across Vancouver has reached completion with the opening of the restaurant group’s third counter-service location in the heart of Downtown Vancouver at 429 Granville Street.

The latest addition to the Railtown Cafe family is the last of three new openings that began with a new location in Downtown Vancouver at 968 Howe Street in December 2016 before a second establishment at 1691 Main Street in Vancouver’s Olympic Village was launched this past April. The three cafes join the original Railtown Cafe that launched at 397 Railway Street in Vancouver’s historic Railtown District in 2012.

Open from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday, Railtown Cafe’s new Granville Street location boasts 1,800-square-feet with licensed seating for 60 and features the same homespun, signature fare for which the local restaurant group has become renowned — artisan breads and pastries that are baked in house each day, a menu of made-to-order gourmet sandwiches and soups, an unmatched build-your-own salad bar and a selection of locally roasted coffee, cold-pressed juices and local craft beer, wine and spirits.

Founded by chefs Dan Olson and Tyler Day as a complement to the company’s successful catering arm known as Railtown Catering, Railtown Cafe quickly established itself as a destination spot for Vancouver residents and visitors alike thanks to its trademark brand of healthy, scratch-made comfort food prepared with local, organic and seasonal ingredients and served up in heaping portions by Railtown’s talented team of classically trained chefs.

“It’s been a banner year for all of us in the Railtown family and we’re excited to bring our unique brand of cuisine to yet another neighbourhood in Vancouver,” says Olson. “Our entire staff is looking forward to welcoming both new and loyal friends and family to our latest location on Granville Street and raising a glass to a year of unprecedented growth.”
