The GOODS from Hy’s Steakhouse
Vancouver, BC | In the recent weeks of summer 2017, more than 45,000 British Columbia residents have been displaced due to ravaging wildfires in the Interior of the province. People have been driven from their homes to seek safety, and many have lost everything they own.
The Canadian Red Cross is supporting the Government of B.C. in providing relief in areas affected by wildfire. Donations help provide immediate relief such as cots, blankets, family reunification and financial assistance for food, clothing and personal needs. Beyond meeting immediate needs, donations may also help re-entry and go towards more long-term recovery, resiliency and preparedness.
Hy’s of Canada operates three restaurants in Beautiful BC – Gotham Steakhouse & Bar in Vancouver, and Hy’s Steakhouses in Vancouver and Whistler. Moved by the crisis and wanting to do something tangible in recognition of the fight in their own back yard, they have created offer a new cocktail, Fire on Ice, which will be offered until September in each of the three BC locations. Hy’s of Canada will match the sales of this special cocktail with a donation to the Canadian Red Cross to support their vital work.
