The GOODS from Lucky’s Doughnuts

Vancouver, BC | For the third year running, Lucky’s Doughnuts has partnered with Dining Out For Life to create a one-of-a-kind “DOFL Doughnut” to mark BC’s largest restaurant and hospitality fundraiser.

On Thursday, March 30, all proceeds from sales of Lucky’s Doughnuts’ seasonal Sakura cherry will benefit Dining Out For Life in support of meal and nutrition programs for individuals and families affected by HIV/AIDS and other co-existing illnesses.

Lucky’s Doughnuts’ Sakura is a classic Bismarck-style doughnut filled with a white chocolate and matcha pastry cream, drizzled with a Sakura and strawberry glaze and topped edible fondant flowers and dried Sakura. Each doughnut is individually packed in a festive pink doughnut box. Price: $5 benefitting Dining Out For Life. Available at both Lucky’s Doughnuts locations: 2902 Main Street and 2198 W. 4th Ave. in Kits as of 7am.

This generous and delicious initiative is in addition to participating restaurants across the Lower Mainland who will be donating 25% of their food sales to Dining Out For Life on Thursday, March 30.

Over the past 23 years, Dining Out For Life has raised over $3.2 million, with proceeds directly benefiting the programs and services provided free-of-charge by registered not-for-profit A Loving Spoonful. These include:

– An average of 100,000 meals per year delivered to individuals and families affected by HIV/AIDS in Metro Vancouver, with more than 70% of the families on the service headed by a single mother

– Wellness Program nutritional counselling and meal planning

– People helped through the charities’ programs are often affected by multiple and co-existing illnesses such as cancer, hepatitis C, heart disease and mental illness
