Vancouver, BC | Mission Restaurant is looking to fill the role of a junior cook. A minimum of 1-2 years experience is desired, though at the end of the day a good attitude and a good work ethic are more important – experience in fine dining an asset. This is a perfect position for somebody who is also straight out of culinary school and looking to expand their abilities and knowledge.

Our kitchen philosophy is to create the best plates using local, well-sourced ingredients and impeccable technique. Mission is a tasting menu focused restaurant. We believe in a disciplined environment that is the standard in fine dining kitchens. We are committed to producing cuisine that utilizes the best the province has to offer supplemented with high quality influences from abroad.

We are looking for people who love food, wish to take their skill set to the next level and work with an exceptional team.

The food at Mission is based on well-sourced ingredients prepared with impeccable technique. We combine the best of the native land with the traditions and ingredients that have become available in our great region over time. There is a focus on sustainability with a true nose-to-tail philosophy resulting in outstanding value for the quality and presentation of the food that give guests a full experience of the bounty of the region.

The Mission dining experience is focused on our tasting menu. Chef Owner Curtis Luk creates these daily. There are two options for these – the $45 four course or $65 six course menu with a vegetarian version of both also available. In tasting room fashion, an eclectic wine list and optional wine pairings have been carefully selected by sommelier owner & manager Chase MacLeod to match every course. Professional, friendly and knowledgeable staff will lead the way in explaining the food and guiding through wine and beverage choices.

Our Lounge is focused also on local ingredients for well-crafted in-house cocktails led by head bartender Justin Darnes. The cocktail list is a blend of rarely seen classics aimed at the discerning connoisseur; appreciated by anyone. From the kitchen a daily selection of share plates inspired by the ingredients used in our tasting menus are available to be paired with these as well as wine & local craft beers.
