‘Ancora’ Readies Culinary Gift Of A Lifetime And A New Year’s Eve To Remember

Vancouver, BC | The holiday season is well under way, but more surprises are in store at Ancora Waterfront Dining and Patio: one of the city’s hottest New Year’s Eve bashes and an exclusive “Flavours of Peru” trip that will thrill that special someone.

Renowned as one of Vancouver’s top spots for seafood, Chef Ricardo Valverde and team will ring in the New Year with a celebratory menu of caviar creations paired with the best Champagnes, alongside an à la carte menu that features delicious plates like rack of lamb and king crab. Diners who join the first seating at 5pm can indulge before hitting the town, while the 7:30pm seating will feature an exciting countdown party with a live jazz band and Champagne sabering for all. There will be a $20 live music cover charge for the later seating, and reservations are strongly encouraged.

In addition to celebrations, the holidays are also about giving, and Chef Valverde has prepared the ultimate gift for the authentic explorer in your life. Led by Chef himself, Flavours of Peru takes travellers on a 10-day gustatory tour of his homeland. Taking place in April 2017, guests will experience tastings at some of Peru’s best restaurants; an exploration of colonial splendours in Lima and Cusco; a trip to awe-inspiring Machu Picchu and the Sacred Valley of the Incas; cooking classes with acclaimed Peruvian chefs; and more.
